In this post, I’m going to show you how to build a floating desk (with storage) using very basic woodworking skills, customized to your space.

Measure

Measure the area where the desk will be installed

Cut and Assemble top and bottom

Using the measurements from step 1.

Sand and paint

Before assembling further, sand and finish all the boards.

MARK YOUR STUDS

Using a stud finder, locate and mark all studs along a level line

Assemble Desk Supports

Install back brace and dividers onto the wall

5

Attach Top and Bottom

Attach the top using a nail gun, and the bottom with screws

6

Touch-up

Fill nail holes and touch up the paint
