Smoky Cheddar Crackers

Brianna Thomas

These crumbly, salty, savory, Smoky Cheddar Crackers are the perfect party appetizer. You can keep the dough in the freezer to quickly bake up a batch at a moment's notice.

Let’s get started!

Freshly shredded smoked cheddar Freshly shredded sharp cheddar Room temperature butter Dried rosemary Freshly cracked black pepper Kosher salt

Use freshly grated, high-quality cheese

For best results you'll want to grate your cheese rather than using the pre-grated kind

Mix the cheese and softened butter

In a stand mixer, combine the room temp butter and cheese on medium speed

Combine with remaining ingredients

Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on medium-high speed until just combined

Shape dough

Divide dough in half and roll each portion into a log shape

Wrap and freeze dough

Wrap each dough log in plastic wrap and freeze for  1 hour (or until ready to bake)

Slice and bake

Using a sharp knife, slice the partially frozen dough and bake on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper
